In the late 18th Century ‘Tiffing’ was used to describe taking a little drink or sip, perhaps a dainty tiff of punch, or just eating or drinking out of meal time.
It gave rise to the British Indian word ‘Tiffin’ still in use today, for lunch, or any light meal. It was also used to depict a dispute or falling out or lying with a wench.
Now we can’t promise any of the latter, but we can promise you an incredible dining experience.
